Course code: GR-003. Plastic Pellets Under Control, Part 3.

Transport and logistics without pellet loss

Prevent material loss before departure, during loading and unloading, and when a spill occurs. This online course connects practical instructions for drivers and handling teams with the procedures and records needed by transport and logistics companies.

For more than tanker transport

The course covers plastic pellets, recycled pellets and regrind transported in bags, big bags, octabins and palletised loads, as well as bulk transport in tankers. It is designed for drivers, forklift and tanker operators, warehouse and terminal staff, freight forwarders, dispatchers and transport managers.

What your team will be able to do

  • Check the load, packaging, vehicle and necessary equipment before departure.
  • Secure packaged material and recognise damaged bags or containers.
  • Reduce losses during loading, unloading and transshipment at ramps, terminals and hose connections.
  • Respond to spills, breakdowns and accidents using a clear sequence of actions.
  • Report incidents, keep records and investigate differences between dispatched and received quantities.
  • Organise staff training and responsibilities within the transport company.

Seven modules for everyday transport operations

Introduction; the material and the carrier's responsibilities; checks before departure; loading, unloading and transshipment; spills and emergencies; company procedures and records; final assessment. Practical examples support implementation of Regulation (EU) 2025/2365.

Clear instructions for teams and managers

Video and audio materials, concise checklists, short summaries and quizzes support learning at a convenient time. An e-book explains the organisational responsibilities relevant to company managers. Use the materials to establish a consistent approach across drivers, warehouse teams and dispatch.

Certificate and assessment

Complete all modules to receive a certificate of completion. Pass the final test with at least 70% to receive a diploma; a score of at least 90% earns a diploma with distinction.

Be ready before an inspection or complaint

Knowing your obligations helps you act before a spill becomes a compliance problem. Regulation (EU) 2025/2365 provides for unannounced inspections and substantiated complaints from eligible third parties. It also requires records of annual estimated losses and quantities handled, and notification of non-compliance to the competent authority.

For the most serious infringements by legal persons, national law must provide a maximum administrative financial penalty of at least 3% of annual EU turnover. This is a requirement for the maximum penalty, not an automatic fine for every incident. Most provisions apply from 17 December 2027; the general duty to prevent losses and act immediately when losses occur has applied since 16 December 2025. The course explains the dates, scope and responsibilities relevant to your role. Source: Regulation (EU) 2025/2365, Articles 3, 5, 13, 15, 19, 20 and 26.
