On-Site Training

On-site training tailored to your company’s needs

Your team needs to understand the process, make informed decisions and know how to respond when problems arise. That is why a training programme should reflect the situations your employees face in their day-to-day work.

In-person training in plastics processing, recycling or composites is available exclusively to regular Rolbatch Academy clients who use our online courses. These sessions offer an opportunity to build on what participants have learned, discuss their questions and focus on the needs of your company.

The first step is an online meeting with Dr Magdalena Laabs. We will discuss who you would like to train, the challenges your team faces and what you want the training to achieve.

A programme built around your team’s needs

We can use an existing Rolbatch Academy programme as a starting point or develop a bespoke programme for your company.

You may want to train new employees, improve understanding of a production process, address recurring quality issues or establish clear procedures for handling raw materials. Together, we will identify the areas that need the most attention.

Training can focus on a specific topic or combine several areas. We agree the scope, level and duration individually.

What can the training cover?

  • Plastics extrusion: processes, raw materials and topics related to the production of film, pipes, profiles and sheets.
  • Injection moulding: process fundamentals, processing parameters and problems encountered in the production of injection-moulded parts.
  • Plastics recycling: material preparation, recycling processes, and the quality and use of recycled materials.
  • Composites: materials, processing technologies and topics relevant to your company’s applications.
  • Raw materials handling and warehouse operations: receiving, labelling, storing and moving raw materials, and reducing contamination and material losses.

We can also develop training on preventing plastic pellet losses, covering storage, loading, unloading, internal transport and spill response. The programme can include preparing your team for the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/2365 on preventing plastic pellet losses.

Classroom-based training, training at the machine or a combined programme

Training can focus on theory and discussion, practical work at a machine, or a combination of both.

For example, the first day could cover theory and discussion in a meeting or training room, followed by a second day at the machine. This gives participants an opportunity to connect the topics discussed with the production process.

We agree the format, the scope of the theoretical and practical sessions, and the arrangements for access to machinery before the training takes place.

Who would you like to train?

A machine operator, a process engineer and a plant manager need different knowledge for their roles.

We can tailor the programme to machine operators, process engineers, warehouse and logistics staff, managers and company leadership. We take account of their responsibilities, experience and the situations in which they will use what they learn.

This means the discussion starts with the needs of the people attending and the work they do.

Warsaw, Berlin or your company’s premises

We can arrange in-person training in Warsaw, Berlin or at your company’s premises. All in-person training, including sessions at clients’ premises, takes place exclusively in Poland and Germany.

We agree the location, dates and organisational arrangements individually. If you would like the training to take place at your premises, please tell us where your company is based and which processes and work areas you would like the programme to cover.

Group size and pricing

Training is usually organised for groups of around 10 participants.

Smaller groups are also welcome. For these groups, we prepare a tailored proposal and an individual quotation.

We prepare the quotation once we have agreed the scope, duration, location, format and organisational requirements.

What should you include in your enquiry?

To help us prepare for the meeting, please tell us:

  • Which topics would you like to cover? Describe the processes, subjects or problems you want to discuss.
  • Who will attend? Machine operators, process engineers, warehouse staff, managers or company leadership?
  • How experienced is your team? Are participants new to the industry or already working in specific roles?
  • How many people would you like to train?
  • Where and when would you like the training to take place?
  • Which format would suit your team? Classroom-based training, practical training at a machine or a combination of both?
  • Which Rolbatch Academy online courses have participants already taken?

You do not need to have a programme ready. Simply describe your situation and what you would like to improve or clarify. We will help turn those needs into a training brief.
